At Blue Ink Enterprises we provide the following services :
Below is a step by step manual on how we dig a bore from start to finish
After you have contacted us, we will send a team to visit the site and determine the most suitable location for drilling. The team will conduct a hydrological survey which will give it an estimate of whether the water bearing aquifer contains sufficient water. The engineer will then give you sufficient options depending on the specific system requirements.
Here we involve our partners who have state of the art drilling rigs. The rigs will come to the location and dig the borehole to the desired depth depending on the depth of water. A slotted liner will be used to line the borehole at the lower levels to allow percolation and a solid liner near the surface to prevent water from entering from the surface.
Once completed, the bore hole will require pump testing to determine the volume of water it will produce and the rate at which the rocks are releasing water.
This test analyses the chemical and bacterial properties of the water to determine whether the water requires any additional treatment. If treatment is required, the engineer will specify the equipment required.
Blue Ink will design the system taking into consideration your requirements, the yield available and the potable water test results.
Blue Ink can install two types of systems depending on the rate at which water is released from the aquifer. If the aquifer is releasing water slowly then a low output pump is installed in the borehole together with a transfer pump in the tank. The potable water tank is installed on the surface. If however the rocks are releasing the water at a fast rate then a higher output pump is installed and the borehole itself used as the storage reservoir.
Blue ink can install all required ground works, pipe and cable laying to the controls and if dealing with a large project liaise with any available contractors.
Once the installation has been completed, the borehole should have a long life span is proper maintenance is conducted. As a routine measure however, annual checks should be done on the pumping system, pipe work and treatment system if available. If need be, Blue ink can provide a clear and comprehensive water risk assessment of your borehole
